A graduate of Hiram College (BA in Early Childhood Education) and Christian Theological Seminary (M.Div). In August of 2011 she was ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ohio. As a lifelong Disciple she has been blessed to serve on several denominational and ecumenical boards including the STEP Lead Team, the Young Adult Commission of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Council on Ecumenical Student Christian Ministry, the Executive Committee of the World Student Christian Fellowship and several others. Trayce has worked to develop her craft of preaching and has preached at the local, regional and national settings. During the 2015 General Assembly of the Christian Church (DOC) she was awarded the Fred Craddock Award for Excellence in Preaching. She faithfully served the Christian Church in Ohio as the Project Coordinator for the New Wineskins Campaign and as the new church pastor for Second Chance Christian Church in Columbus while also serving Advent UCC and Karl Road Christian Church at the same time. A major part of Trayce’s life has always been working with children and youth and in May of 2018 she was called as the Minister for Youth and Young Adult Engagement at the national office of the United Church of Christ
As Minister for Youth and Young Adult Engagement, Trayce has responsibilities for events and programs for individuals between the ages of 12 and mid-30s. Longstanding programs in her portfolio include serving as consultant for the youth@synod program, regional youth events, co-leader for the National Youth Event and administrator for Council for Youth and Young Adult Ministries. Additionally, Trayce collects and curates resources for youth and young adult ministries, networks with the UCCs Outdoor Ministries and is responsible for creating new opportunities for faith and leadership development for youth and young adults within the denomination. Trayce continues to be a sought after preacher, workshop presenter and keynote speaker in the ecumenical faith world.
