History

National Youth Event (NYE) is a spirited quadrennial event centered on faith, leadership, service, and social justice first inaugurated in 1980.  It is celebrated as the largest denominational gathering for the United Church of Christ, with an expected attendance of 2,500.

The planning team is working hard to make this event Accessible to All. We are working with several internal and external offices to ensure that all of our youth, regardless of ability, are able to fully participate and enjoy National Youth Event.

Planning is being done by several national setting offices of the United Church of Christ as well as volunteers from conferences and local churches. We have also assembled a planning team of youth who are involved on the programming team to help bring their visions and dreams to fruition.
